Your Target Audiences

Your organization has several “target audiences” each with their own interests and needs. When planning and reviewing your website, look at the profile of these different groups, and think of their needs. This will help you to identify the best structure for the website, what information needs to be there, and how frequently it should be updated. Your target audiences might include your current and potential clients, volunteers, board, staff, potential and current donors, event attendees, sponsors, the press and the community.

Dear Denise,

The Internet provides you not only with a means for you to communicate information -- but also for you to receive comments, input, contact information and offers of help, from supporters, collaborators, sponsors and alliances. Encourage and make it easy for people to do this and you will start to see the power of the Internet.
Featured Website
The Association of Fundraising Professionals Orange County wanted a professional image to present the organization effectively, to benefit members, to increase participation and awareness of events, and to build membership. The new look, improved site structure and navigation, online registration and site tracking were implemented to achieve these objectives.

Video As a Training Tool

VideosBoard members and new staff need an orientation to the mission, goals and objectives of the organization. Volunteers need training for specific jobs and client interactions.

Training videos provide a consistent message and can be used effectively to train individuals in remote locations, or in a group environment. With broadband communications, video training can be delivered via the Internet at a time that is convenient for the individual and can be re-played as many times as needed.
