Greetings!

How do you know if your website is helping you to achieve your goals?

Check your website tracking statistics regularly. Are you getting return as well as new visitors? How long do people stay? Do they just look at one page and leave - or do they browse through the website? Are visitors responding to your Call to Action pages?

There are methods to add tracking statistics to your website if you don't have that capability now.

Featured Website
Spirit of Volunteerism Awards

Family Service has a long history of helping individuals and families in Southern California. The organization serves a culturally diverse population and it is important to them that their new website shows diversity through the images used throughout the website.

FSLB objectives are to make their services more widely known, build their donor base, attract alliances and potential employees. Strong calls to action are incorporated into the design and the consistent navigation system lets the visitor move easily through the website.

Clients Speak
Senior Man

Client testimonials are a powerful way to connect with the visitors to your website. The words of those you have helped give a personal view of the benefits and solutions that you provide. Adding video or audio in addition to text brings it even closer to your audience.

Here are some ideas on how to collect testimonials from your clients. Words from your ED, the board and alliance partners are also important in getting your message across.

Call to Action
Enter Key

An effective website includes strong calls to action. Here are a few examples:

  • Sign up for your newsletter
  • Sign up to volunteer
  • Buy something
  • Register for an event
  • Donate
  • Get involved
  • Ask a question
Make your website a 2 way communication. Get your visitors involved and make it worth their while to return often. This is how you will build to meet your objectives.
